Tafsir of Verse 2, Surah Al-Munaafiqoon

ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿2﴾

Display verse 2, Surah Al-Munaafiqoon in the Quran

English Translation

They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing. (2)

English Transliteration

Ittakhathoo aymanahum junnatan fasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi innahum saa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona (2)

Tafsir of Verse 2

They have taken their oaths as a covering, then they have barred from the way of God. Surely they -- evil are the things they have been doing. (2)

They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: truly evil are their deeds. (2)

Verse 2 - Surah Al-Munaafiqoon: (اتخذوا أيمانهم جنة فصدوا عن سبيل الله ۚ إنهم ساء ما كانوا يعملون...) - English
