Tafsir of Verse 5, Surah Al-A'raaf

فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَآ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ﴿5﴾

Display verse 5, Surah Al-A'raaf in the Quran

English Translation

And their declaration when Our punishment came to them was only that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers!" (5)

English Transliteration

Fama kana daAAwahum ith jaahum basuna illa an qaloo inna kunna thalimeena (5)

Tafsir of Verse 5

and they but cried, when Our might came upon there, 'We were evildoers.'; (5)

When (thus) Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this: "Indeed we did wrong." (5)
