English Translation
By those [angels] who extract with violenceEnglish Transliteration
WaalnnaziAAati gharqan
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence;
English Translation
And [by] those who remove with easeEnglish Transliteration
Waalnnashitati nashtan
By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed);
English Translation
And [by] those who glide [as if] swimmingEnglish Transliteration
Waalssabihati sabhan
And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy),
English Translation
And those who race each other in a raceEnglish Transliteration
Faalssabiqati sabqan
Then press forward as in a race,
English Translation
And those who arrange [each] matter,English Transliteration
Faalmudabbirati amran
Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord),

On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],English Transliteration
Yawma tarjufu alrrajifatu
One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion,

There will follow it the subsequent [one].English Transliteration
TatbaAAuha alrradifatu
Followed by oft-repeated (commotions):

Hearts, that Day, will tremble,English Transliteration
Quloobun yawmaithin wajifatun
Hearts that Day will be in agitation;
English Translation
Their eyes humbled.English Transliteration
Absaruha khashiAAatun
Cast down will be (their owners') eyes.
English Translation
They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?English Transliteration
Yaqooloona ainna lamardoodoona fee alhafirati
They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state?
English Translation
Even if we should be decayed bones?English Transliteration
Aitha kunna AAithaman nakhiratan
"What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?"
English Translation
They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."English Transliteration
Qaloo tilka ithan karratun khasiratun
They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!"
English Translation
Indeed, it will be but one shout,English Transliteration
Fainnama hiya zajratun wahidatun
But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry,
English Translation
And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth\'s surface.English Transliteration
Faitha hum bialssahirati
When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment).

Has there reached you the story of Moses? -English Transliteration
Hal ataka hadeethu moosa
Has the story of Moses reached thee?
