The Byzantines have been defeatedEnglish Transliteration
Ghulibati alrroomu
The Greeks have been vanquished
English Translation
In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome.English Transliteration
Fee adna alardi wahum min baAAdi ghalabihim sayaghliboona
in the nearer part of the land; and, after their vanquishing, they shall be the victors
English Translation
Within three to nine years. To Allah belongs the command before and after. And that day the believers will rejoiceEnglish Transliteration
Fee bidAAi sineena lillahi alamru min qablu wamin baAAdu wayawmaithin yafrahu almuminoona
in a few years. To God belongs the Command before and after, and on that day the believers shall rejoice
English Translation
In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.English Transliteration
Binasri Allahi yansuru man yashao wahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
in God's help; God helps whomsoever He will; and He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate.
