By the mountEnglish Transliteration
Waalttoori
By the Mount (of Revelation);
English Translation
And [by] a Book inscribedEnglish Transliteration
Wakitabin mastoorin
By a Decree inscribed
English Translation
In parchment spread openEnglish Transliteration
Fee raqqin manshoorin
In a Scroll unfolded;
English Translation
And [by] the frequented HouseEnglish Transliteration
Waalbayti almaAAmoori
By the much-frequented Fane;

And [by] the heaven raised highEnglish Transliteration
Waalssaqfi almarfooAAi
By the Canopy Raised High;

And [by] the sea filled [with fire],English Transliteration
Waalbahri almasjoori
And by the Ocean filled with Swell;-

Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.English Transliteration
Inna AAathaba rabbika lawaqiAAun
Verily, the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass;-

Of it there is no preventer.English Transliteration
Ma lahu min dafiAAin
There is none can avert it;-

On the Day the heaven will sway with circular motionEnglish Transliteration
Yawma tamooru alssamao mawran
On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion.

And the mountains will pass on, departing -English Transliteration
Wataseeru aljibalu sayran
And the mountains will fly hither and thither.
English Translation
Then woe, that Day, to the deniers,English Transliteration
Fawaylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Then woe that Day to those that treat (Truth) as Falsehood;-
English Translation
Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves.English Transliteration
Allatheena hum fee khawdin yalAAaboona
That play (and paddle) in shallow trifles.
English Translation
The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],English Transliteration
Yawma yudaAAAAoona ila nari jahannama daAAAAan
That Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly.
English Translation
"This is the Fire which you used to deny.English Transliteration
Hathihi alnnaru allatee kuntum biha tukaththiboona
"This:, it will be said, "Is the Fire,- which ye were wont to deny!
