Surah Al-Mulk: Verse 10 - وقالوا لو كنا نسمع أو... - English

Tafsir of Verse 10, Surah Al-Mulk

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِىٓ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ﴿10﴾

Display verse 10, Surah Al-Mulk in the Quran

English Translation

And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze." (10)

English Transliteration

Waqaloo law kunna nasmaAAu aw naAAqilu ma kunna fee ashabi alssaAAeeri (10)

Tafsir of Verse 10

They also say, 'If we had only heard, or had understood, we would not have been of the inhabitants of the Blaze.' (10)

They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!" (10)
