Tafsir of Verse 34, Surah An-Noor
وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٍ وَمَثَلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
English Translation
And We have certainly sent down to you distinct verses and examples from those who passed on before you and an admonition for those who fear Allah.English Transliteration
Walaqad anzalna ilaykum ayatin mubayyinatin wamathalan mina allatheena khalaw min qablikum wamawAAithatan lilmuttaqeenaTafsir of Verse 34
Now We have sent down to you signs making all clear, and an example of those who passed away before you, and an admonition for the godfearing.
We have already sent down to you verses making things clear, an illustration from (the story of) people who passed away before you, and an admonition for those who fear (Allah).
Commentary
The scholars call this verse as the ` Verse of Radiance', because it describes in great detail the radiance of faith and the darkness of disbelief.
