Tafsir of Verse 42, Surah Ar-Room

قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّشْرِكِينَ ﴿42﴾

Display verse 42, Surah Ar-Room in the Quran

English Translation

Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah]. (42)

English Transliteration

Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablu kana aktharuhum mushrikeena (42)

Tafsir of Verse 42

Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of those that were before; most of them were idolaters.' (42)

Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those before (you): Most of them worshipped others besides Allah." (42)
