Tafsir of Verse 44, Surah Adh-Dhaariyat

فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿44﴾

Display verse 44, Surah Adh-Dhaariyat in the Quran

English Translation

But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. (44)

English Transliteration

FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathathumu alssaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroona (44)

Tafsir of Verse 44

Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44)

But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44)
