Surah Al-Anbiyaa: Verse 8 - وما جعلناهم جسدا لا يأكلون... - English

Tafsir of Verse 8, Surah Al-Anbiyaa

وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَٰلِدِينَ ﴿8﴾

Display verse 8, Surah Al-Anbiyaa in the Quran

English Translation

And We did not make the prophets forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth]. (8)

English Transliteration

Wama jaAAalnahum jasadan la yakuloona alttaAAama wama kanoo khalideena (8)

Tafsir of Verse 8

nor did We fashion them as bodies that ate not food, neither were they immortal; (8)

Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death. (8)
