Surah Al-Israa: Verse 41 - ولقد صرفنا في هذا القرآن... - English
Tafsir of Verse 41, Surah Al-Israa
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا
English Translation
And We have certainly diversified [the contents] in this Qur\'an that mankind may be reminded, but it does not increase the disbelievers except in aversion.English Transliteration
Walaqad sarrafna fee hatha alqurani liyaththakkaroo wama yazeeduhum illa nufooranTafsir of Verse 41
We have turned about in this Koran, that they may remember; and it increases them only in aversion.
We have explained (things) in various (ways) in this Qur'an, in order that they may receive admonition, but it only increases their flight (from the Truth)!
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَـذَا الْقُرْءَانِ
(And surely, We have explained in this Qur'an) meaning, `We have explained Our warni- ngs so that they may remember the proof, evidence and exhorta- tions contained there- in, and be prevented from Shirk, wrong- doing and scandal.'
وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ
(but it increases them in naught) the wrong- doers among them
إِلاَّ نُفُورًا
(save aversion.) aversion towards the truth; they go further away from it.
