Tafsir of Verse 77, Surah Al-Israa
سُنَّةَ مَن قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَا ۖ وَلَا تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلًا
English Translation
[That is Our] established way for those We had sent before you of Our messengers; and you will not find in Our way any alteration.English Transliteration
Sunnata man qad arsalna qablaka min rusulina wala tajidu lisunnatina tahweelanTafsir of Verse 77
the wont of those We sent before thee of Our Messengers; thou wilt find no change to Our wont.
(This was Our) way with the messengers We sent before thee: thou wilt find no change in Our ways.
The last verse (77): سُنَّةَ مَن قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا (Such has been Our way with the messengers We sent ...) tells us that, according to the customary way and law of Allah Ta` ala, when a people expel their prophet from his home-land, or compel him to leave by scaring and harassing, then, those people too are not left to continue living there. They are visited by the punishment of Allah Ta’ ala.
