Tafsir of Verse 46, Surah Al-Mursalaat
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
English Translation
[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.English Transliteration
Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoonaTafsir of Verse 46
'Eat and take your joy a little; you are sinners!'
(O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners.
كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ ("Eat and drink for a while! You are guilty ones...77:46) This verse addresses the infidels through the Holy Prophet ﷺ . They may eat and drink and enjoy themselves in this world, but the span is short, and then there will be nothing but punishment for them. [ Abu Hayyan ].
