Surah An-Naml: Verse 43 - وصدها ما كانت تعبد من... - English

Tafsir of Verse 43, Surah An-Naml

وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَت تَّعْبُدُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِن قَوْمٍ كَٰفِرِينَ ﴿43﴾

Display verse 43, Surah An-Naml in the Quran

English Translation

And that which she was worshipping other than Allah had averted her [from submission to Him]. Indeed, she was from a disbelieving people." (43)

English Transliteration

Wasaddaha ma kanat taAAbudu min dooni Allahi innaha kanat min qawmin kafireena (43)

Tafsir of Verse 43

but that she served, apart from God, barred her, for she was of a people of unbelievers.' (43)

And he diverted her from the worship of others besides Allah: for she was (sprung) of a people that had no faith. (43)
