Tafsir of Verse 95, Surah Yusuf
قَالُوا۟ تَٱللَّهِ إِنَّكَ لَفِى ضَلَٰلِكَ ٱلْقَدِيمِ
English Translation
They said, "By Allah, indeed you are in your [same] old error."English Transliteration
Qaloo taAllahi innaka lafee dalalika alqadeemiTafsir of Verse 95
They said, 'By God, thou art certainly in thy ancient error.
They said: "By Allah! truly thou art in thine old wandering mind."
In verse 95, it was said: قَالُوا تَاللَّـهِ إِنَّكَ لَفِي ضَلَالِكَ الْقَدِيمِ (They said, 'By God, you are still in your old fallacy!' ). It means that those around Sayyidna Ya` qub (علیہ السلام) commented on what he had said by wondering that he still seemed to be engrossed into his old fallacy, that is: 'Yusuf is alive and we shall meet again.'
