Surah Al-Waaqia
سُورَةُ الوَاقِعَةِ
Page 537 (Verses from 77 to 96)
إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌ كَرِيمٌ
فِى كِتَٰبٍ مَّكْنُونٍ
لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ
تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ
وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ
فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ
وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ
وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ
فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ
تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ
وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
فَسَلَٰمٌ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
فَنُزُلٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ
وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ
فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

English Translation
Indeed, it is a noble Qur\'anEnglish Transliteration
Innahu laquranun kareemun
That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable,
English Translation
In a Register well-protected;English Transliteration
Fee kitabin maknoonin
In Book well-guarded,
English Translation
None touch it except the purified.English Transliteration
La yamassuhu illa almutahharoona
Which none shall touch but those who are clean:
English Translation
[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.English Transliteration
Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameena
A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
English Translation
Then is it to this statement that you are indifferentEnglish Transliteration
Afabihatha alhadeethi antum mudhinoona
Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem?
English Translation
And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]?English Transliteration
WatajAAaloona rizqakum annakum tukaththiboona
And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false?
English Translation
Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throatEnglish Transliteration
Falawla itha balaghati alhulqooma
Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,-
English Translation
And you are at that time looking on -English Transliteration
Waantum heenaithin tanthuroona
And ye the while (sit) looking on,-
English Translation
And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -English Transliteration
Wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walakin la tubsiroona
But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,-
English Translation
Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed,English Transliteration
Falawla in kuntum ghayra madeeneena
Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,-
English Translation
Bring it back, if you should be truthful?English Transliteration
TarjiAAoonaha in kuntum sadiqeena
Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)?
English Translation
And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah,English Transliteration
Faamma in kana mina almuqarrabeena
Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah,
English Translation
Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure.English Transliteration
Farawhun warayhanun wajannatu naAAeemin
(There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights.
English Translation
And if he was of the companions of the right,English Transliteration
Waamma in kana min ashabi alyameeni
And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand,
English Translation
Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right."English Transliteration
Fasalamun laka min ashabi alyameeni
(For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand.
English Translation
But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray,English Transliteration
Waamma in kana mina almukaththibeena alddalleena
And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong,
English Translation
Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding waterEnglish Transliteration
Fanuzulun min hameemin
For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water.
English Translation
And burning in HellfireEnglish Transliteration
Watasliyatu jaheemin
And burning in Hell-Fire.
English Translation
Indeed, this is the true certainty,English Transliteration
Inna hatha lahuwa haqqu alyaqeeni
Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly.
English Translation
So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.English Transliteration
Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi
So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme.
