Tafsir of Verse 71, Surah Yusuf
قَالُوا۟ وَأَقْبَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِم مَّاذَا تَفْقِدُونَ
English Translation
They said while approaching them, "What is it you are missing?"English Transliteration
Qaloo waaqbaloo AAalayhim matha tafqidoonaTafsir of Verse 71
They said, turning to them, 'What is it that you are missing?'
They said, turning towards them: "What is it that ye miss?"
Verse 71 carries the response of the accused: قَالُوا وَأَقْبَلُوا عَلَيْهِم مَّاذَا تَفْقِدُونَ that is, ` the brothers of Yusuf turned to the announcer, as if protesting on being made into thieves, and asked him to say what is it that you seem to have lost.'
