Tafsir of Verse 31, Surah As-Saaffaat

فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ ﴿31﴾

Display verse 31, Surah As-Saaffaat in the Quran

English Translation

So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. (31)

English Transliteration

Fahaqqa AAalayna qawlu rabbina inna lathaiqoona (31)

Tafsir of Verse 31

So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. (31)

"So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). (31)
